Prototipoak. Bienal Internacional de Nuevas Formas Artísticas (2021)

Abstract

Prototipoak es una Bienal de artistas con miradas diferentes, de procedencias muy distintas, que desde una práctica situada, desde la especificidad del contexto, plantean nuevas experiencias. Lo hacen a través de formas artísticas contemporáneas, con sus códigos y tiempos de creación, en escenarios y formatos que cambian, con lenguajes diversos a través de los que se cuestionan diferentes aspectos de la realidad, tratando de abrir posibilidades para transformarla.<p></p>

Desde el inicio, el lugar ha sido un elemento central, no solo como el escenario donde pasa la vida, es decir como contenedor o contexto de acción, sino como lo que se constituye propiamente a través de lo que hacemos, de nuestras acciones situadas.<p></p>

Un lugar complejo, en constate movimiento, en el que conviven lo normal, lo marginal, lo incierto y misterioso, lo absurdo, lo obvio, lo anodino y lo absolutamente excepcional, lo superfluo y lo fundamental para la vida.<p></p>

En Prototipoak, prestamos especial atención a la posibilidad de entretejer, de entramar, de entrelazar los proyectos artísticos con el lugar, promoviendo relaciones que desborden nuestras prácticas y las de las y los artistas participantes. En la Bienal de 2021 participan los y las creadoras Sra Polaroiska, José Ramón Ais, Diego Sologuren & Sébastien Tripod, Maider López, Laida Lertxundi & Ren Ebel, Elssie Ansareo, Elena Aitzkoa y Amalia Fernández. <p></p> Comisariado: Fernando Pérez y Rosa Casado.

Prototipoak is a Biennale that brings together artists with unique perspectives and diverse backgrounds, who propose new experiences rooted in the specificity of site and context. Through their uses of contemporary artistic forms, in various scenarios and formats – each with their own conventions and temporalities – they each question different aspects of reality and attempt to open up opportunities for transformation.<p></p>

Since its inception, place has been a central element in the project, understood not only as the stage on which life unfolds – that is, as the container or context for action – but also as that which is constituted through the things we do, through our actions in context.<p></p>

It is a place of complexity. A place in constant movement – where the normal, the marginal, the uncertain and mysterious, the absurd, the obvious, the uninspiring and the truly exceptional, the superfluous and the essential, all coexist.<p></p>

At Prototipoak we pay special attention to the potential for interweaving, for entwining art projects with place, encouraging interactions and connections that transcend our own practices and those of the participating artists. The 2021 Biennale features creators Sra.
