Summary:
Azkuna Zentroa continues with the Elipsiak performing arts cycle, coordinated by Isabel de Naverán, which commenced in 2016 and will continue until 2018.

Elipsiak is characterised as being a cycle which relates contemporary performing relationships under a conceptually defined prism. Furthermore, after each show an open dialogue is proposed between the invited artists and the audience attending, for those who wish to examine further the work or share their views.

If during the first edition Elipsiak garnered contemporary proposals which dialogued with figures from other historical periods, in the 2017 edition the cycle directly addresses an intrinsic issue inherent to dance: corporal communication of choreographic knowledge.

The cycle commences on 20 May with the lecture and solo performance ‘Legítimo/Rezo’ by the choreographer Jone San Martín. It will continue in November with `Trança’ by Thiago Granato, in December with ‘Ese lugar entre’ by Bea Fernández and in January 2018 with a final performance piece which will bring the curtain down on this second edition,
