Catalogue of “Todos los conciertos, todas las noches, todo vacío” [All the Concerts, All the Nights, All Empty by Ana Laura Aláez] exhibition, curated by Bea Espejo. The book is a survey that spans much of the artist’s career, with pieces from the late 1990s&mdashsuch as Corona (1995) and Shaving (1997)&mdashas well as more recent works. Eschewing the conventional format of a retrospective, this exhibition takes the form of a fragmented dialogue between the different works and is divided into four thematic sections: objects and abject extensions; arousal and emptiness; violence and vulnerability; and legend, women’s sexuality and camouflage ideology.
