Mª Salas Mendoza Muro, Founder of Nomad Garden, graduated as an architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSAS). She specialised in urban and landscape planning in the city of Paris and in urban ecology at the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona. She holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainable City and Architecture from the University of Seville, where she carried out a research on Urban Indicators of Sustainability.
At Nomad Garden, urban landscapes are contemplated as emergent systems with the capacity to readapt themselves through the interaction of their own elements. They understand that other more sustainable interactions are possible in cities, for these are already happening spontaneously. They enjoy thinking of projects as opportunities to discover these latent potentialities and to design actions and devices to consolidate those more creative and resilient tendencies.
