Over the last years Santos Bregaña has combined his occupation as a designer and art director at Atelier Laia -fábrica de perplejidades-, with his artistic work and lecturing at the Pamplona and San Sebastian Faculties of Architecture, as well as the Bilbao Faculty of Fine Arts.
He ran the TABULA publishing house, dedicated to the dissemination of gastronomic culture, in 2002. He received the Sphere award in 2008 awarded by the Art Director Club NY for the work he had been carrying out at Mugaritz restaurant since it open its doors. He created and ran the “Time Machine Soup” in 2016 within the context of Donostia-San Sebastian as European Capital of Culture. In recent years, he has undertaken art and design direction projects for Mirazur, considered to be the best restaurant in the world according to the 50Best list.
He has exhibited his works individually and collectively in Dublin, Paris, New York, Milan, Athens, Berlin, Helsinki, Moscow, Tokyo, Miami, Washington, Saul, Toronto, México DF, Madrid, Sao Paulo, Lisbon, Manila, etc. Some of his most important creations were purchased by the Disseny museum, Barcelona.
