Nora Aranberri, professor at UPV/EHU and researcher at HiTZ - Basque Language Technology Centre.
Her research focuses on the evaluation of machine translation (MT) with a special emphasis on aspects related to its use by both professional translators and users in general. Among others, her working languages include Basque, which gives her the opportunity to explore the implications of MT for minority languages with scarce resources. She has also conducted hands-on post-editing workshops with trainee and professional translators, and collaborates with the Association of Basque Translators, Proofreaders and Interpreters.
