She began her journalistic career in 1991 as editor of the Argentinian Página/30 magazine from the Página/12 newspaper.
Since then, her texts have been published in various Latin American and European media, such as La Nación and Rolling Stone, in Argentina; El País, in Spain; Piauí, in Brazil; Gatopardo, in Mexico; L´Internazionale, in Italy; and Granta, in UK, among others.
She is the author of “Los suicidas del fin del mundo” (Tusquets, 2004), “Frutos extraños” (2009, Aguilar, Alfaguara), “Plano americano” (2013, Ediciones Universidad Diego Portales; 2018, Anagrama); “Una historia sencilla” (2013, Anagrama); “Zona de obras” (2014, Círculo de Tiza, Anagrama); “Opus Gelber” (2019, Anagrama); “Teoría de la gravedad” (2019, Libros del Asteroide); “La otra guerra” (2021, Anagrama); “La llamada” (2024, Anagrama); “La dificultad del fantasma” (2024, Anagrama).
She has received the following awards: CEMEX-FNPI, González Ruano, Grand Prix Blue Metropolis, and Manuel Vázquez Montalbán for Cultural and Political journalism. In 2024, her book “La llamada” received the Award of the Women and Media Chair from the Chilean Diego Portales University and the Spanish Narrative Zenda Award. She is the Latin America editor for the Gatopardo magazine. Her work has been translated into English, French, German, Swedish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Polish, Greek and Chinese.
