(Bergara) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country, specialising in Painting and Sculpture.
He has had solo exhibitions in institutional galleries such as Sala Rekalde in Bilbao (Ni ez nain hemengoa in 2004), CAB. Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos (Baga biga higa in 2007), Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea in San Sebastián (Behar Gori Primavera Azul in 2008), La Conservera in Murcia (Night Flight in 2010) and Fundación Museo Jorge Oteiza in Alzuza, Navarra (Interpretatciones 7 in 2014). He has participated in some outstanding group exhibitions including Pintura Mutante (MARCO. Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Vigo 2006), Planes Futuros (Baluarte, Pamplona 2007) and Zeru Bat, Hamaika bide. Prácticas artísticas en el País Vasco entre 1977 y 2002 (Artium, Vitoria, 2020). Eraztunak, anillos was his last solo exhibition at the Espacio Minimo gallery in Madrid in 2022.
He is the winner of the First Generation 2000 Prize from Caja Madrid, the Gure Artea Prize from the Basque Government in 2000, an Endesa Grant in 2001 and an Altadis Grant in 2005, among others. His works are on display at the ARTIUM Museum in Vitoria, the Unión Fenosa Collection in La Coruña, the Contemporary Art Collection of the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid, the CAM Collection in Valencia, the Altadis Collection, the Caja Madrid Collection, the Kutxa Collection, the Extremadura Regional Government Collection, the Murcia Autonomous Community Collection, the Álava Fine Arts Museum, the Bank of Spain Collection, the L'Oreal Collection, the Coca-Cola España Foundation and the City Councils of Pamplona and Vitoria.
