Luz Broto (Barcelona) carries out site-specific projects in different contexts and formats, such as interventions, actions, installations, encounters and walks, etc.
When carrying out her work, she engages with the built-up space, its architecture and urban environment, discourses, infrastructure, organisational structure, regulations, uses, protocols, likewise the social interactions taking place in it.
She has collaborated with institutions such as Manifesta14 Prishtina, Secession, MACBA, Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea, CA2M, La Casa Encendida and Centre d’Art la Panera, and with García Galería and Ethall galleries. She has been granted research and production scholarships from the Royal Institute of Art, Blue Project Foundation and Botin Foundation Art Grants, in addition to taking part in the residencies of LIPAC in Buenos Aires, FLORA in Bogotá, and Artists in Residence, in Madrid.
