Summary:

The own Master´s degree with practice and theory in contemporary arts and culture was launched in conjunction with the University of the Basque Country in the academic year 2022-2023.
It is the first of its kind in the Basque Country and arose from the need to comprehend the new reality of contemporary artistic and cultural practices from an applied perspective. It is aimed at favouring the professionalization of students and is taught by over 40 trainers.

Description:

The following is a description of the Master's Thesis (TFM) developed during the Master's program:

TFM. Edurne Iriondo. Wolframa: This research is based on a series of topics that I have dealt with from my experience as an engineer. In this process, some elements of the periodic table have had special relevance, such as the wolfram, isolated and discovered by the Elhuyar brothers.

TFM. Jesús Mª Platón. El placer de estar en escena. Investigación narrativa sobre el tránsito del camerino al escenario: This Master's Thesis has as its thematic framework the performing arts and the concern about thematic framework of the performing arts and the concern about what happens to the actor/actress/performer from the moment he/she leaves the dressing room until he/she arrives on stage.

TFM. Koldo Gutiérrez. Todo el mundo es artista, nadie tiene trabajo. Gamificación, productividad y criptomonedas en los tiempos del Metaverso y la Inteligencia Artificial: The irruption of blockchain technology and NFTs in video games (and in the Metaverse) is another dangerous trend that we will analyze, as well as the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence.

TFM. Arantzazu Luzarraga. Ostatuko pasaiak. La huella del Antropoceno en la costa vizcaína: This paper continues a line of research that deals with the study of the spatial strategies of global actors and the impact of large-scale economic and political decisions on everyday life, contributing a spatial component to conversations already initiated in other disciplines.

TFM. Iñaki Olarra. Zintsotasuna [k]. Euskal testuinguruko sormen-joera jakin bati buruzko apunteak: The aim of this research is to reflect on artistic practice. It is an exploration that starts from the experience in the creative process itself and aims to make known a certain creative trend that manifests itself in the Basque context. We will call this creative tendency honesty in this work.

TFM. Juana Esparza Saludes. La pista de baile como experiencia colectiva. El DJ set como práctica artística: This research presents a theoretical approach to DJ practice and the dance floor as a collective experience.

TFM. Miren Bayona Espinosa. Un trabajo de resistencia: A work of resistance is a research on practices at the crossroads between art, education and community developed in the Basque Country since the rise of education in art in the 2010s.

TFM. Paula Cárcamo Carrera. Estación de[l] Abando[no]. Acercamiento sensible y relacional a un área en desuso en la ciudad: This work proposes sensitive and relational approaches to the ecosystem of the disused railway yard of the Abando Station in Bilbao, in the search for other ways of understanding and relating to the environment.

TFM. Víctor Díez Bildosola. How does the victim respond to the violence of those who do not identify her, that is, do not recognize her identity? The present dossier seeks to explore this question in depth from the trans masculine experience itself, using the animated short film as a narrative medium.

TFM. Xabier Barrutia Abalia. Un despliegue del ritornelo. Aproximarse a la música electrónica contemporánea experimental a través de la obra de Piotr Kurek: Starting from the concept of ritornello understood through the Deleuzian- Guattarian lens, this paper sets out to dissect the term in order to subsequently infer a vocabulary with which to point out, verbalize and explore problematics of contemporary experimental electronic music through parallel readings, such as Catherine Guesde, Cristoph Cox or Simone Borghi.

TFM. Juan Viedma Vega. Quiero ver todas las transformaciones: The results of a theoretical-practical and interdisciplinary research on the mental image (also inner image) as a starting point for artistic work are presented.
