Summary:
El íntimo ritmo del azar (The Intimate Rhythm of Randomness) is a personal artistic research project that started in May 2020, at a time of great social uncertainty and instability. It arises as a result of the motivation to explore the possibilities of the random concept in a medium such as a sound installation. “On the one hand, my proposal is to continue carrying out this project in the personal artistic work format, putting into practice the potential of the resources generated in the form of exhibition pieces; whilst on the other hand, to open the project to the public and generating a context with the purpose of creating a context with the idea of integrating other dynamics and interested agents.”
Tunipanea works from practical research in what he calls the field of experimental lutherie. "I draw on the infinite mechanical and acoustic resources that already exist to design and manufacture sound devices. This process allows me to adapt, transform and intermingle the most artisanal part of the process and intersperse the concepts I want to explore" he explains.
Description:
  • El íntimo ritmo del azar: diálogos entre máquinas imperfectas (21/10/2022-06/11/2022) - Activation of Tunipanea's pieces in collaboration with sound artist Garazi Navas. During the opening, visitors will be able to learn about the process of creating a series of sound installations in the form of mechanisms that combine motors, objects and automatons to explore the realm of randomness.
  • Experimental music and sound art introducing workshops (13-17/03/2022 y 25-28/10/2022) – A theoretical and practical workshop in which, in a fun and entertaining way, younger audiences can learn about the most important movements and figures in musical and sound experimentation, from the early 20th century to the present day, and experiment artistically with sound and its perception.
