Abstract

<i>Shifter!</i> –término con en la que tradición lingüista se refiere al dispositivo en forma de palanca de cambios- trabaja con las cualidades propias de cada material y de cada cuerpo como forma de investigación para atender al desvío, donde las situaciones escultóricas y la acción, se articulan en entornos performativos.<br>“La resistencia, la tensión entre flexibilidad y masa, la inercia, el esfuerzo que puede soportar un cuerpo, o la propia fatiga de los materiales antes de su rotura son entendidas como fuerzas vivas cuyos encuentros son capaces de activar performatividad en su materialidad” explica la creadora.

<i>Shifter!</i> proiektuak –hizkuntza-tradizioak abiadura-palanka formako gailuari deitzeko darabilen hitza– material bakoitzaren eta gorputz bakoitzaren berezko ezaugarriekin lan egiten du, desbideratzeari erantzuteko ikerketa-modu gisa, non eskultura-egoerak eta ekintza ingurune performatiboetan egituratzen diren. <br>“Erresistentzia, malgutasunaren eta masaren arteko tentsioa, inertzia, gorputz batek jasan dezakeen ahalegina, edo materialen nekea bera hautsi aurretik, indar bizitzat hartzen dira, eta haien elkarketak gai dira materialtasunean performatibitatea aktibatzeko”, azaldu du sortzaileak.

<i>Shifter!</i> (US term referring to the gear lever in manual transmission) works with the specific qualities of each material and body as a form of research, to focus on deviation, where sculptural situations and action are articulated in performative environments. <br>“Resistance, the tension between flexibility and mass, inertia, the effort a body can support, or material fatigue prior to breakage, are understood as living forces whose encounters are capable of activating performativity in their materiality”, as explained by the creator.
