PasoliniPasolini is one of the most prominent and, at the same time, most criticised voices of the second half of the 20th century. He is recognised as a poet, essayist, narrator, political and social activist, and also as an innovator and militant intellectual who fought against the dogmas of the Christian faith, morality and society of the time. The slums of Rome were his inspiration for both his literary and cinematographic work. He lived in its suburbs and assimilated its aesthetics, its atmosphere, the language of the men, women and children who made up the sub-proletariat, the Roman dialect and the violence intrinsic to their daily lives. His works are a defence of diversity, linguistic minorities, individual freedoms and the disappearance of class society.
The monographic cycle, scheduled between January and March 2021, offers a journey through some of the most emblematic titles of his extensive film production, screened in 35 mm.
