Summary:
Azkuna Zentroa launches a workshop for the prevention and awareness of sexual violence through video games.

This program is part of the smARTplaces project, a European cultural cooperation project of wich Azkuna Zentroa is a participant.

Description:
Sexist violence is an expression of the relationship of inequality between men and women. Combating it supposes, among other things, a social commitment and new forms of non-discriminatory coexistence of treatment between people.

Azkuna Zentroa, in its commitment to equality and through its digital culture program, launches this course to help the participants, from a reflective and critical view, to consider the different forms of discrimination that exist and persist in our current society, and to discover coherent ways that encourage the construction of a fairer reality for all people.

The two-hour workshop stimulates a critical view of discriminatory behavior in the digital environment, highlighting the sexist overtones of many of the humorous or communication contents on the Internet. It also tries to promote and promote counter-speeches to combat situations and messages of this type both on the Net and in everyday life outside it.
