After an initial self-teaching stage where he spent time in different cities working on musical projects (from rock bands to experimental ones such as Belmonde duo), he moved to Barcelona where he studied piano, composition and arrangements.
He released his first solo album under the name and title of Abraham Boba (2007). He moved to Madrid in 2008 where he released his second album, La educación (2009), followed by Los días desierto (2011). He formed the León Benavente music group in 2013, for which he has composed all the songs. The group has released 4 albums up to date: León Benavente (2014 Ojo Crítico Award), 2 (2016 best album for El País & ABC), Vamos a volvernos locos (2019 best album for El País, among others); and Era (2022). He has been a musician or producer in over 50 albums. Esto no es una canción (Espasa, 2021) is his first poetry book.
