Lizar Begoña is a Basque writer and teacher. She graduated in Fine Arts from the UPV/EHU in 2018 and holds a Master´s Degree in Art Research & Creation.
She was granted a collaboration scholarship from Bilbao Arte Foundation in 2020 and in that same year she won the 3rd Donostia Kultura Poetry Competition with her book of poems “Aro beilegia” (Balea Zuria). In 2022 she published her book of poems “Gepardo japoniarrak” (Susa) and won the 25th Igartza Award with her project novel “Itzalkinak eguzkitan”, published in 2023 under the title “Mundu zitalaren kontra” (Elkar).
