Abad Faciolince, Héctor (1958- )
Héctor Abad was born in Medellín (Colombia) in 1958. He studied Modern Languages and Literature at Turin University (Italy). He has worked as a journalist, translator and author. His books include: “Tratado de culinaria para mujeres tristes” (translated into English as “Recipes for Sad Women”), “Las formas de la pereza” (t: “The Forms of Laziness and Other Essays”), “Angosta”, “Fragmentos de amor furtive” (t: “Fragments of Furtive Love”) and “El olvido que seremos” (t: Oblivion: A Memoir). The latter was award winning in Portugal and the USA.
