Estrada, Carmen (1947-)
Holder of a Doctorate in Medicine, she has worked both as a professor of Human Physiology in Madrid and Cadiz and a Neuroscience researcher for 35 years.
Since retiring, she has studied Classical Greek and published a translation and adaptation of the “Odyssey”, illustrated by Miguel Brieva.
In her book “Odiseicas” she analyses the female characters in the “Odyssey” and suggests that the poem may have been written by a woman.
She published La Herencia de Eva, which examines the relationship between science and humanities, likewise their situation in today’s culture. She is also the authoress of Cumplir treinta años en los años treinta, a story about historical memory.
