Leire Bilbao (Ondarroa, Bizkaia, 1978). She made a qualitative leap into the world of literature in 2006 with her first book of poems Ezkatak, followed by Scanner (2011), the bilingual poetry book Entre escamas (2018) and Etxekourak (2020).
She has published over 20 literature works for children and young adult. Standing out among her latest awards is the 2017 Euskadi Literature Prize for Children and Young Adult, the 2019 Kirico Award and the 2022 Euskadi Literature Prize for Children and Young Adult.
