Aranzasti, María José (1960- )

Graduate in Art History from Madrid Autonomous University, she has worked as an Exhibition technician for Zarautz Town Council, Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and Caja Popular Kultur Bideetan. Since 1987 she has worked as independent curator in the organization of exhibitions in different spaces, including the Kursaal Kubo Hall.

She combines this work with that of an Art History professor, i.e., UPV/EHU Experience Classrooms since 2001, Catalina de Erauso, Kutxa Classrooms, besides giving conferences, talks and artistic seminars in museums, cultural centre and schools in different towns. She is a member of Plataforma A and was a member of MAV (Mujeres en las Artes Visuales - Women in the Visual Arts) http://www.mav.org.es/ for 6 years. She has been writing in M-arte y cultura visual, a contemporary art magazine with a gender perspective which includes over 70 articles: http://www.m-arteyculturavisual.com, since its inception in 2012.
