Epaltza, Aingeru (1960- )
Aingeru Epaltza (Iruñea, 1960), journalist and translator.

Writer of children's literature and author of seven novels for adults: Sasiak ere begiak baditik (Elkar, 1986), Ur uherrak (Pamiela, 1993), Tigre ehizan (Elkar, 1996), Rock'n'roll (Ttarttalo, 2000), Mailuaren odola (Elkar, 2006), Izan bainintzen Nafarroako errege (Elkar, 2009) and Gure Jerusalem galdua (Elkar, 2013). He has published three narrative books; Garretatik erauzitakoak (Elkar, 1989), Lasto sua (Alberdania SL, 2005) and Mendi-joak (Elkar, 2017), a play; Mugetan irri ( 1984) and an essay; Bezperaren bezpera (Pamiela, 2007).

In 1985 he won the City of Pamplona’s New Authors Award for the novel Sasiak ere begiak baditik (Elkar, 1986) set in the time of the Carlist wars. Later, he won the Xalbador Saria Prize for the novel Ur uherrak (Elkar, 1991), and in 1997 the Euskadi Saria award for the short novel Tigre ehizan (Elkar, 1996). His works have been translated into Spanish, French, Catalan, German and Finnish.
