Auserón, Santiago (1954- )
Santiago Auserón (Zaragoza, 1954) is a singer, lyricist, writer and philosopher He was the songwriter and vocalist of the musical group Radio Futura (1979-1992). Initially part of the so-called movida madrileña (The Madrid Scene), it later evolved to become the beginnings of what came to be known as Latin rock. After the group split up, he embarked on a solo musical career under the sobriquet Juan Perro, with an eclecticism that fuses Cuban son, African music, jazz and blues, among other styles. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Completense University of Madrid.
