- Writer and Senior Lecturer in Contemporary
Art History and Theory at the University of
Edinburgh.
Working across Marxism and feminism, her
books include Gender, ArtWork and the Global
Imperative: A Materialist Feminist Critique
(2013), Economy: Art, Production and the
Subject in the 21st Century (2015, co-edited
with Kirsten Lloyd), Politics in a Glass Case:
Feminism, Exhibition Cultures and Curatorial
Transgressions (2013, co-edited with Lara
Perry) and in her native Greek Art and
Globalisation: From the Postmodern Sign to
the Biopolitical Arena (2013).
Angela is currently working on the books
Feminism, Art, Capitalism and The
Economic Subjects of Contemporary Art.
She is a corresponding editor of Historical
Materialism: Research in Critical Marxist
Theory for which she recently co-edited
the special issue on Social Reproduction
Feminism 24/2 (2016) and an editor of
Third Text for which she is co-editing a
special issue on Social Reproduction and
Art forthcoming in 2017.
Angela is also a novelist, writing in her native
Greek, her most recent novel being Aeroplast
