Abdellah Taïa is a writer and a filmmaker.
Author of the following novels published by Éditions du Seuil and translated for Europe and the US: “El ejército de salvación” (2006), “Una melancolía árabe” (2008), “El día del Rey” (Premio de Flore 2010), “Infidèles” (2012), “Un país para morir” (2015), “El que es digno de ser amado” (2017), “La vida lenta” (2019) and “Vivir en tu luz” (2022). In 2014 he directed his first film, The Salvation Army, based on his novel of the same name. This feature film was chosen for several festivals and was the 2014 Angers European First Film Festival Winner.
