Azkuna Zentroa presents from January 24th to February 7th the cinema cycle ‘Displaced bodies II’ within the Zinemateka program. This cycle will contemplate the debate between the moving bodies and its filming.

PROGRAMME
Seminario. Developed over three sessions, it therefore aims to investigate what these different responses are, what kind of tensions arise between one artistic expression and another, and to what extent we can speak of either subordination or hybridisation between the different artistic practices discussed here.
Session 1. The debate between presence and recording: from Isadora Duncan to Merce Cunningham.
Session 2. Female choreographers and filmmakers: from Maya Deren to Yvonne Rainer.
Session 3. The imprint of the dancing body's voice: Monk - Palestine - Anderson.
