As Associated Artists at Azkuna Zentroa they are working on the stage performance titled "Trabajos forzados" and the technical residency "Incendis" (Fires).
Description:
This is a stage project that questions the relationship between language and bodies, where the participation of the Barcelona, Liège and Bilbao deaf communities is considered as an enriching artistic and creative experience.
In the Bilbao case, the work group comprises five people who will develop a process in three time frames. The first one will take place in the first week of June. It will revolve around the dynamics of theatre, movement, visual arts or music, among others, and will be aimed at researching the master lines of this proposal. Additionally, moments of dialogue and contemplation in relation to the questions posed by “Trabajos forzados” will be set up.
The second one will take place during the second week of October. As the project will already be in its creation process, dynamics and exercises will be put forward to form part of the final device of the piece. A sample of the work carried out in both workshops will be open to the public.
The third one will take place in May 2025, coinciding with the public presentation of “Trabajos forzados” at Azkuna Zentroa. It will be a two day workshop of shared practices where the participants of the workshops in Bilbao will work together with the performers of Barcelona’s final project.
