</p><b>Proyección seguida de conversación con Aimar Arriola, Investigador Asociado a Azkuna Zentroa</b></p>

La película <i>The Foundation</i> (2015) se desarrolla en torno a la Fundación de Tom of Finland en Los Ángeles, EE.UU., hogar del archivo del artista erótico e ícono gay del siglo XX y una comunidad de personas que se preocupan por él. No es una película "sobre" Tom of Finland, más bien canaliza la experiencia de pasar un tiempo en ese lugar para hacerse preguntas sobre el cuerpo, el archivo y la transmisión intergeneracional. La película también es el resultado de trabajar con la ambivalencia; es decir, de involucrarse con imágenes, experiencias y recuerdos que te representan y no, al mismo tiempo.<br>

En esta sesión de proyección seguida de una conversación con P. Staff junto a Aimar Arriola, esta ambivalencia se duplica en la experiencia de volver a visitar la película en el presente. La actividad se enmarca en <i>Un deseo de forma</i> (2020- 2023), la programación pública e investigación personal que el comisario Aimar Arriola desarrolla en el centro como Investigador Asociado a Azkuna Zentroa.

<i>The Foundation</i> (2015) filma Los Angeleseko (AEB) Tom of Finland Fundazioaren ingurukoa da —XX. mendeko artista erotiko eta gay ikonoaren artxiboaren egoitza— eta hartaz arduratzen diren pertsonen komunitate baten ingurukoa. Ez da Tom of Finland-i “buruzko” film bat; horren ordez, leku horretan tarte bat pasatzeko esperientzia bideratzen du, galderak egiteko gorputzari, artxiboari eta belaunaldien arteko transmisioari buruz. Filma anbibalentziarekin lan egitearen emaitza ere bada; hau da, irudikatzen zaituzten eta, aldi berean, ez zaituzten irudi, esperientzia eta oroitzapenekin inplikatzearen emaitza.<br>

</p><b>Screening followed by a conversation with Aimar Arriola</b></p>

The film <i>The Foundation</i> (2015) takes place around Tom of Finland's Foundation in Los Angeles, USA, home to the archive of the twentieth century erotic artist and gay icon and a community of people that care for it. Not a film “about” Tom of Finland, rather it channels the experience of spending time in the place to ask questions about the body, the archive, and intergenerational transmission. The film is also the result of working through ambivalence, that is, of engaging with images, experiences and memories that represent you and not at the same time.<br>

In this screening session followed by a conversation, between P.Staff and Aimar Arriola, this sense ambivalence is doubled in the experience of revisiting the film in the present. This event takes place within the framework of <i>A Desire for Form</i> (2020-2023), the public programming and research by curator Aimar Arriola developed at the center as an associate researcher.
