Deus ex machina

Abstract

<i>Deus Ex Machina</i> es un proyecto escénico y de arte participativo para escuchar las maneras múltiples y singulares en las que habla todo un país.</p>Desde un Call Center instalado en la sala de exposiciones de Azkuna Zentroa, se reúnen una gran cantidad de voces que habitan Euskadi y otros lugares del Estado Español.<p> </p>Cada llamada se hace a través de un guion abierto de preguntas muy diversas, orientadas a producir conversaciones insospechadas para indagar en el inconsciente histórico del territorio, utilizando la palabra para dar forma a cómo las personas imaginan su propio mundo, así como el estado de ánimo que las acompaña.</p>Las preguntas buscan despertar el subconsciente de aquellas personas que contesten el teléfono y se encuentren con una voz que les llama desde un centro de cultura. Las voces de quienes permanezcan en la llamada y contesten el guion de preguntas serán escuchadas en tiempo real dentro del espacio escénico.</p><i>Deus Ex Machina</i> conforma así una exposición de voces, en una propuesta artística que transita entre el teatro y la instalación.

<i>Deus Ex Machina</i> eszena- eta arte-proiektu parte-hartzaileak herrialde oso batek hitz egiteko dituen modu askotarikoak eta bereziak entzun nahi ditu.<br>Azkuna Zentroko erakusketa-aretoan jarritako call center batetik, Euskadin eta Espainiako estatuko beste leku batzuetan bizi diren ahots ugari bilduko dira.</p>Era askotako galderak dituen gidoi ireki baten bidez egingo da dei bakoitza, berariaz bideratuta elkarrizketa ustekabeak sortzera, lurraldeko inkontziente historikoan arakatzeko, eta hitza erabiliko da pertsonek beren mundua nola irudikatzen duten eta nolako aldartea duten irudikatzeko.</p>Galderen helburua da telefonoa hartu eta kultura-zentro batetik deitzen dien ahots batekin topo egiten duten pertsonen subkontzientea piztea. <i>Deus Ex Machina</i> is a performance and participatory art project to listen to the multiple and singular ways in which an entire country speaks.<br>From a Call Centre installed in the Azkuna Zentroa Exhibition Hall, the many voices which inhabit the Basque Country and other parts of Spain are brought together.</p>Each call is made through an open script of very diverse questions geared towards producing unimagined conversations to delve into the historical unconscious of the territory. The word is used to shape how people imagine their own world and their resulting mood.</p>The questions seek to awaken the subconscious of those who answer the phone and find a voice on the other end of the telephone line calling from a cultural centre. The voices of those who remain on the line and answer the scripted questions will be heard in real time within the performance space.</p>Thus, <i>Deus Ex Machina</i> comprises an exhibition of voices in an artistic proposal that moves between theatre and installation.
