From 1 through 9 June Azkuna Zentroa´s Zinemateka presents a film series in honour of Dorothy Arzner.
Dorothy Arzner was the only female film director in Hollywood in the 1930s. She worked as a waitress in a small restaurant owned by her father in Hollywood, dealing with actors, directors and screenwriters on a daily basis.
She was also a film professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1500 Vine Street.
