Summary:
AZ organizes the fourth edition of the course Feminist perspectives in artistic productions and theories of art. Co-directed by Lourdes Méndez and Xabier Arakistain, this course brings together speakers from different countries, disciplines and generations who analyses the artistic production field of contemporary societies from a feminist perspective.

On occasion of the Why Not Judy Chicago? exhibition, this year the course is fully dedicated to the figure and work of this pioneer in feminist art.

The course approaches the historical, theoretical and political problems that feminist researchers face to continue developing non-sexist knowledge; such as the practices that question the different dimensions of the institution of ‘art’, focusing on criticism of the hegemonic representations of sexual difference.
