His full name is Iñaki Igon Garitaonaindia Murgiondo (Legazpi, Guipúzcoa, 18 July 1963) and he is a Basque rock and pop singer. He began his musical career in the band Zíper and in 1983 he joined the band Hertzainak. He became the lead singer of Hertzainak for a whole decade, and when the band broke up, he began his solo musical career. Under the stage name Gari, he has recorded four studio albums and one live album, as well as participating in several collective musical works.
