Guillermo Weickert's scenic language is heterogeneous, the result of his eclectic training forged in dance and interpretation, and of his interest and curiosity for the fusion of languages, artistic research and collaboration with different disciplines. He has a degree from the Seville Theater Institute and has trained in classical and contemporary dance at the Andalusian Dance Center. He is a member of the Choreographic Creation Workshops and receives grants from the Junta de Andalucía, the Center de Développement Chóreographique de Tolousse and the C.E.E (Col. Lina Collaboration in Arts, Newcastle, United Kingdom, 2006). Since 1995 she has worked with contemporary dance and physical theater companies.

In 2001 he began his career as a choreographer and stage director in productions for his project Guillermo Weickert dance company. He has been invited to show his work at some of the most prestigious festivals in the field of creation.

In 2008 he received the Maximino de Honor for the best performing arts performer for his work in Go With The Flow and in 2013 the Seville Stage Award for the best dancer for Materialinflamable. Her creations have also received numerous awards: Días Pasan Cosas was awarded seven prizes from the Andalusian Dance Professionals Association, among them for the best direction, choreography and show. Sorrow won the award for best lighting from the Andalusian Dance Professionals Association. Inflammable material was recognized in 2013 with the Seville Stage award for the best choreography, in addition to the award for the best dancer, the 1st Andalusian Theater Award for the best dance show and the awards for the best show, best performer and best choreography of the Association of Andalusian dance professionals (PAD). Lirio entre espinas (2013), produced and premiered by the International Dance Festival of Itálica, received the awards for the best female performer, best costume and best direction from the Andalusian Dance Professionals Association (PAD) and the Stage Awards 2013 for Best Dance Show and Best Female Dance Performer (ex aequo for Natalia Jiménez and Iris Heitzinger).

His productions have visited a good part of the most interesting and relevant dance festivals and programs. His latest choreography work includes the circus and burlesque cabaret show The Hole (produced by Yllana, Let´s go1 and Paco León), the choreography for the film “Ali” by Paco Baños, starring Verónica Forqué or “Code Unknown ”, Created for the Russian company Dialogue Dance.

As a performer he collaborates with the Dame de Pic company, directed by Karine Pontier (Belgium). He also develops his role as a pedagogue in various public centers (Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa, Conservatories of Malaga, Granada, Seville, Andalusian Dance Center ...), private (Estudio3 de Madrid, Barcelona Area, CRIM Collective of Barcelona, Contemporary Coast in Almería, etc.) and as a teacher in dance and theater companies such as Rui Horta Stage Works, Deborah Light or ErrequeErre.
