Cristina Rivera Garza (Matamoros, Mexico, 1964). She is an author, translator and critic. Her most recent books are Autobiografía del algodón (2020), El invencible verano de Liliana (2021) and Grieving. Dispatches from a Wounded Country (2020).
She has been awarded the BBK Gutun Zuria Bilbao 2023 prize, in the form of an honorary makila.
