Kinu#3 is dedicated to Sabine Groenewegen. In the session, the premiere in the state of Odyssey (2018), the filmmaker's latest work, is presented, a dream essay that delves into the materiality of archive images to deconstruct naturalized colonial representations. The undefined intelligences in the film analyze a set of signals that a resistant matter produces when it arrives on an infected planet, disturbing the flow of stories, time and space that they are trying to understand.
Through a combination of found footage, science fiction, and poetry, Odyssey (2018) questions visual rhetoric and evokes questions about the stories we are told and our chances of interrupting them.
